Have you ever been listening to an album and it suddenly strikes you that you may be the only person in the world listening to that particular album at that particular time? There must be mathematicians out there who could tackle the odds of that being true for particular albums.

And just because you may be the only person in the world listening to a particular album doesn’t mean it isn’t a good album or even, perhaps, an undiscovered classic. I’m not necessarily saying that’s the case for Denny Laine’s Holly Days, but I was recently enjoying it and wondering how many other people have had the pleasure.  It’s a great tribute to Buddy Holly and his music, very well done. And you may have heard of the other two members of the trio, Paul and Linda McCartney.

Denny Laine played guitar, piano, organ, harmonica, xylophone and  McCartney  guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, drums, with Paul and Linda sharing backing vocals.

See what you think of their version of “Rave On”--

The unfortunate thing is that it is a very difficult album to find in legitimate sources and no one has yet—so far as we know—made the whole thing available on YouTube.
